Seminole resident pleads guilty to federal arson charge

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Robby Dewayne Tiger, age 41, of Seminole County, Oklahoma, entered a guilty plea to one count of Arson in Indian Country, punishable by up to life in prison. The Indictment alleged that on December 6, 2024, Tiger willfully and maliciously set fire to a dwelling, placing the life of a person in jeopardy.

SSC launches Esports program

Seminole State College will launch a new esports program in Fall 2025, combining competitive gaming with academic coursework designed to support career pathways in esports and digital media. Scholarship opportunities will be available to students who join the Esports team.

Guilty verdicts: Formal sentencing set for defendant in Fentanyl trafficking case

Formal sentencing is scheduled in July for a defendant recently convicted by a Pottawatomie County jury on numerous drug charges, including aggravated trafficking in Fentanyl. Prosecutors said this case has helped remove a major Fentanyl supplier from the area, and the jury has recommended sentences totaling 77 years and payment of more than $600,000 in fines.
