Avedis Foundation’s Health Week 2025 is this week.

Many will be taking time this Memorial Day weekend to pause and honor those who paid the ultimate price in service to the country. Memorial Day honors service members who died while serving in the United States military.

TECUMSEH -A 62-year-old man is jailed in the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on a $500,000 bond on numerous complaints involving sexual assault, and authorities believe his victims go back as far as the 1980s. The Tecumseh Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate allegations of sexual assault.

The Oklahoma Foundation for the Education of Blind Children and Youth, Inc. is proud to announce the awarding of $8,000 in scholarships to outstanding students as part of its 2025 Scholarship Program.

Students from Gordon Cooper Technology Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter were among the nearly 7,000 attendees representing nearly 800 school chapters who attended the 2025 BPA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, May 7-11. While in Orlando, students vied for top honors in BPA’s Workplace Skill Assessment Program competitions, which cover the areas of business administration; digital communication and design; finance; health administration; information technology; and management, marketing and communication.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Legislature has passed a landmark tax reform measure that reduces the personal income tax and streamlines the state’s tax code. The bill now heads to Governor Kevin Stitt’s desk for final approval.
