Presidential Summit held at Seminole State College
Members of the Executive Committee of the Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges Two-Year Presidents’ Council met in Seminole on July 19 for their annual planning retreat. Seminole State College President Lana Reynolds (center) completed her service as Chair of the Council in June.
TSET opens new funding for youth character development programs
The Tobacco Settlement Endowment Fund (TSET) has opened a new statewide funding opportunity for programs that promote youth character development for students in grades three through eight. TSET has issued a request for proposals from organizations that can deliver programs that provide education and opportunities for building character in an effort to strengthen leadership and decision-making skills for young Oklahomans.

Voters in Pottawatomie County who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the August 23 Runoff Primary, Shawnee General Runoff and Konawa Special School Election Proposition should apply now, County Election Board Secretary Patricia Carter said.
Oklahoma voters who are blind can electronically cast votes in future elections
OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Kevin Stitt recently signed a new law that will enable registered voters who are blind to vote by electronic absentee ballots in Oklahoma if they are unable to vote at their precinct polling locations on election day.
Residents affected by May storms can apply for possible FEMA assistance
Oklahoma homeowners and renters in seven counties who sustained damage from the recent severe storms, tornadoes and flooding from May 2-8 could be eligible for help from FEMA. The designated counties for FEMA Individual Assistance are Adair, Cherokee, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Pottawatomie, Seminole and Tulsa.
