The Tobacco Settlement Endowment Fund (TSET) has opened a new statewide funding opportunity for programs that promote youth character development for students in grades three through eight. OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Kevin Stitt recently signed a new law that will enable registered voters who are blind to vote by electronic absentee ballots in Oklahoma if they are unable to vote at their precinct polling locations on election day.
Oklahoma homeowners and renters in seven counties who sustained damage from the recent severe storms, tornadoes and flooding from May 2-8 could be eligible for help from FEMA. The designated counties for FEMA Individual Assistance are Adair, Cherokee, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Pottawatomie, Seminole and Tulsa.
FEMA and the state of Oklahoma are committed to providing disaster assistance to people with disabilities and access and functional needs. Assistance is also available for those who communicate in languages other than English.
