Meeker student and 15-year-old Bode Gatlin is competing in team roping at the International Finals Youth Rodeo this week. According to Gatlin, for the last three years he has participated in team roping and he was inspired to learn by various family members.
Ahead of the 2022 International Finals Youth Rodeo, the organization announced the roster for the six-day event which features 965 entries from 32 different states. Marking its 30th year in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the IFYR began Sunday, July 10 and will continue through Friday, July 15. The event will be one of the richest youth rodeos in the sport paying out upwards of $250,000.

My daughter-in-law then responded that I care more about my dogs than my grandchildren. I live in Florida; they live in Kansas.
