The Office of Juvenile Affairs held its grand opening of the Next Generation Campus at the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh Friday, June 24. According to Michael McNutt, OJA communications director, construction on the new facility began in 2019.

AAA Oklahoma is projecting that more than 510,000 Oklahomans will travel a distance of 50 miles or more over the Independence Day Holiday weekend. Murals bring art outside for residents to enjoy .

City of Shawnee Community Development Director Rian Harkins recently offered another update on the visioning process for potential uses of the Santa Fe Depot. During last week’s Shawnee City Commission meeting, Harkins shared some of the responses from residents who took part in several opportunities to provide input regarding potential uses for the depot.

The Avedis Foundation just announced it has given a $10,000 grant to expand a rural meal program. During the pandemic, Meals on Wheels of Norman, Inc.

In less than a week, a plain building transformed into a colorful mural thanks to a group on a mission at Oklahoma Baptist University. OBU alumna Vanessa Myers created the original artwork now featured on the north face of an art department building on the south end of campus.
