County Commissioners OK amended budget request, policy changes

Pottawatomie County Commissioners approved to amend the budget request of the District Attorney’s Office for fiscal year 2022- 2023 in their regular meeting Monday. DA Allan Grubb requested that his new budget for next fiscal year include the salary for First Deputy Corey Stone and the salary of the District Narcotics Investigator and the position’s expenses.

Konawa, Wewoka get public works funding

The Konawa Public Works Authority (Authority) received approval Tuesday for a $76,000 Sewer Overflow and Storm water Reuse Municipal Grant (OSG) through the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority’s wastewater infrastructure. Wewoka Public Works Authority (Authority) also received approval for $400,000 in funding to improve the Authority’s water infrastructure.

Voters in Lincoln County are reminded to keep the integrity of the election system in mind when going to the polls next week. While ballot “selfies” or taking photographs of a marked ballot are legal, voters may not share or distribute the image through social media or by any other means while inside the election enclosure.
