Harvey Weinstein to be charged in UK over assault claims
LONDON (AP) — British prosecutors said Wednesday they have authorized police to charge ex-film producer Harvey Weinstein with two counts of indecent assault against a woman in London in 1996. The Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement that “charges have been authorized” against Weinstein, 70, fol lowing a review of evidence gathered by London’s Metropolitan Police.

Outdoor warning siren boundaries to make shift
On Monday, Shawnee City Commissioners approved a boundary adjustment for Shawnee’s outdoor warning sirens. On May 4, a severe weather event caused the outdoor warning system sirens to sound for Zone 2 (the main metro portion of Shawnee), Shawnee Emergency Management Director Rachelle Erickson said.

US Department of Labor recovers $166K in back wages for 732 Shawnee convenience store workers charged for uniforms, register shortages
OKLAHOMA CITY – A recent U.S. Department of Labor investigation found a Shawnee, Oklahoma, gas station and convenience store made illegal deductions from workers’ pay for uniforms and cash register shortages that brought wages below the federally required minimum wage.
