McLoud Historical Society to host honorarium for Eagle Scout Larry Stacy

McLoud Historical Society will host an honorarium from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, for wellknown hot rod builder and Eagle Scout Larry Stacy, a 1966 graduate of McLoud High School. Stacy was not just a dedicated hot rod builder and driver, but he was one of several Boy Scouts from McLoud in the 1960’s who reached the status of Eagle Scout. He continued to make his home in McLoud throughout his lifetime and has been a dedicated supporter of Boy Scout programs.

OTA: Turner Turnpike crash closures prompt modernization of turnpike network

Several recent traffic snarls along the Turner Turnpike highlight the dire need to reinvest into the state’s turnpike system. A crash on I-44/Turner Turnpike between SH-66 in Wellston and the Kickapoo Turnpike closed westbound traffic for more than 90 minutes Tuesday evening, less than a week after a May 26 crash on westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike near Stroud stopped traffic for more than an hour.
