Ward 5 candidate Joey Ward was born in Barstow, CA, but raised moving back and forth between California and Oklahoma because his dad was from California and his mom was from Oklahoma. Joe attended Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College (now Randall University) in Moore, OK.
School is out and for families in the agriculture industry, children likely will spend countless hours lending a hand with various chores. While safety is important any day of the year, summer is a time of year to be even more diligent.
The Pottawatomie County 4-H Program has a busy summer planned with overnight summer camp and State Round Up resuming, along with several local project days and District Events. We are also happy to welcome Erin Roberts to our Extension team as the 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator.

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) will stop processing applications for new grower, dispensary and processor licenses for up to two years after Gov. Kevin Stitt signed House Bill 3208 on Thursday. The moratorium begins Aug. 1.
