The Prague Kolache Festival is back after a two-year cancellation due to the pandemic. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate the Czech heritage of the community with many activities. Main Street from the stoplight to the Prague Park will be blocked off for the festival featuring numerous food booths and a grandstand where entertainment will be going on all day.

Students at Oklahoma Baptist University had an opportunity to work with Shawnee Mayor Ed Bolt during the spring semester to help him revitalize his social media platforms and connect better with the younger generation in Shawnee. Three students, Kaelyn Lance, Grady Liston and Trey Green, were part of Dr. Daryl Green’s small business marketing class.
