Avedis doles out $5K for Girl Scout troop reboot

Gateway spotlights Social Host law

To combat underage drinking in Pottawatomie County, Gateway to Prevention and Recovery is in the middle of a new awareness campaign. Danielle Rains, with Gateway, said the Drug Free Communities Grant of Pottawatomie County and the Community Based Prevention Services Grant are partnering to bring awareness to the Social Host Law to adults and youth in the county.

Commissioners approve funding for SHS Stucker floor project

Pottawatomie County Commissioners approved the lowest quote from Vector Concepts for $50,795 for the Shawnee High School Stucker Building flooring project during their regular meeting Monday. The decision comes a few weeks after the Shawnee Board of Education approved the solicitation of bids for the overlaying of a multipurpose floor at the SHS Stucker Building in their April meeting.
