It’s snowing! The back patio is being covered in white petals as they flutter down from the two Bradford pear trees. From the looks of it, the trees have produced a robust set of blooms this spring. Despite some frosty weather, the profusion of peach blossoms has added splashes of pink to the landscape. The old redbud has lower dead branches, but higher in the sky purple flowers open to meet the sun.

Construction continues on a building site set for iced tea franchise HTeaO; it sits just north of Pizza Hut on the 3300 block of North Kickapoo. “While I can’t provide an exact opening date just yet, I can confirm that the store will open this summer 2022,” HTeaO Marketing Manager Abby H.

Jackson will join more diverse and conservative high court

WASHINGTON (AP) — Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will join a Supreme Court that is both more diverse than ever and more conservative than it’s been since the 1930s. She’s likely to be on the losing end of a bunch of important cases, including examinations of the role of race in college admissions and voting rights that the high court, with its 6-3 conservative majority, will take up next term.

Lankford supports oil ban, trade sanctions on Russia WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK), a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources and Finance Committees, on Thursday voted to impose an embargo on Russian energy products and suspend normal trade relations with Russia and Belarus in response to Moscow’s ongoing aggression with the people of Ukraine. Sadly, 10.6 million Ukrainians have been displaced due to Russia’s war crimes.
