OKLAHOMA CITY – The Senate voted Monday to prohibit anyone without a disability or who is not trained to assist those with disabilities from fraudulently representing a pet as a service animal. Senate Bill 1223 was introduced by Sen. David Bullard, R-Durant.

Roosevelt issued the first national Red Cross Month proclamation recognizing those who give back through the American Red Cross. Each U.S. president has issued a proclamation ever since.
Oklahoma can prosecute non-Indians accused of crimes against Indians on tribal reservations because Congress has never explicitly barred states from exercising jurisdiction in such cases, Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor told the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday.
A Midwest City woman is accused of intentionally getting herself arrested so she could smuggle drugs into the Oklahoma County jail. Authorities say they found fentanyl, methamphetamine and marijuana during a body search of Amerah Ovion Lee, 21, when she was booked into the jail Friday on a misdemeanor joyriding complaint.
