$4.8M bridge, widening approved for Moccasin Trail

At Monday’s meeting, the Oklahoma Transportation Commission approved the County Improvements for Roads and Bridges Plan for Fiscal Years 2026 to 2030. The updated five-year plan includes nearly $930 million in scheduled upgrades to county roads and bridges outside of ODOT jurisdiction across all 77 Oklahoma counties.  In Pottawatomie County, a $4.8 million bridge replacement and widening of four miles of Moccasin Trail Road was among the projects approved.

Pottawatomie County teens attend MyPI Youth Emergency Preparedness Camp

Eight Pottawatomie County 4-H members were among 26 teens from nine counties across the state who participated in the inaugural MyPI (My Preparedness Initiative) Oklahoma Youth Emergency Preparedness Camp, held in Sulphur, Oklahoma. This camp was organized by Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension along with several community partners.
