City, ODOT close Kickapoo Spur to 177 on-ramp for safety concerns
Beginning today, Tuesday, September 2, Ramp D, the on-ramp from Kickapoo Spur to US 177/270, will be temporarily closed due to safety concerns, the city of Shawnee reports. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation determined that the current traffic pattern created a dangerous merge with limited visibility.
Pottawatomie County Free Fair set Sept. 3-6
The 2025 Pottawatomie County Free Fair will be held in Shawnee at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center from Wednesday, Sept. 3 through Saturday, Sept. 6.
City attorney updates Commission about Fairview Mausoleum
