Travel and security at the forefront for 2028 Olympics events in Oklahoma City

WASHINGTON -- With Oklahoma City set to host Olympic events in 2028, members of Congress are already raising questions about how both the Sooner State and Los Angeles will ensure the safety of athletes, fans and venues. Nearly 15 million spectators are expected across the Los Angeles region and Oklahoma City, along with more than 11,000 Olympic and 4,400 Paralympic athletes, one of the primary concerns is how to ensure security for such a large-scale international event.

OSBI investigation: Tecumseh man charged in child sexual abuse case

A 62-year-old Tecumseh man who was jailed in the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on a $500,000 bond on numerous complaints involving sexual assault, with authorities believing his victims dated back as far as the 1980s, is now formally charged with seven felony counts as part of an ongoing investigation. The Tecumseh Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate allegations of sexual assault.
