Gail Cooks

Gail Cooks, the daughter of Clarence and Louise Phillips Cooks, Sr., was born on July 28, 1966, and was called home to be with our Lord on July 23, 2022. Growing up in Brooksville, Oklahoma, Gail attended Macomb Public Schools where she achieved All-state status in Girls’ Basketball and Track. Following her high school graduation, she attended and graduated from Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. At Connors, she was a valued member of the women’s basketball team, a lightningrod player on the 1985 National Championship basketball team and a two-time inductee into the Connors Hall of Fame. Gail then matriculated at Oklahoma State University.

Ramona McGuffee Scrutchins

Ramona McGuffee Scrutchins passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family members on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022. Ramona was born on December 17th 1952 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Mickey and Carole Lipe. She graduated from Shawnee High School and attended University at both Oklahoma Baptist University and St. Gregory’s College. She completed her undergraduate degree later in life and was named Valedictorian of her class at St. Gregory’s. She retired from the GIbson, Reynolds and Blakemore CPA firm after a long career in accounting.

Harold “Jack” Shatto

A celebration of life for Jack Shatto of Phoenix, Arizona will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at the Maud First Baptist Church, Maud, Oklahoma. Pastor Bobby Shatto officiating; interment will be in Tecumseh Mission Cemetery.
