Janice Lea Long, age 62, affectionately known as “Jan”, entered eternal rest on March 28th, 2022. Jan was born to Frank and Betty Rowan on August 17, 1959, in Oklahoma City, OK. Jess H. and Joyce Powell of Shawnee, OK adopted her when she was three years old. Jan attended Shawnee public schools and lived in Shawnee nearly all her life.

LaVada Eberle

SHAWNEE - LaVada Virginia Eberle, resident of Shawnee, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. She was 95 years old. LaVada was born on October 26, 1926 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to her parents, W.A. Rutherford and Nellie Rutherford. She graduated from Tecumseh High School. She married Leroy Eberle on August 20, 1946. The couple celebrated 71 years of marriage before Leroy passed away in 2018. LaVada worked at Tinker Air Force Base, Sylvania Electric Products and Wilson’s Greenhouse tending to the plants and flowers. She was also a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Eleanor (Ellie) MacDonald

Ellie, affectionately known to family as the Queen Mum, Nan and Nana, passed away March 1, 2022, at home surrounded by family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loving, strong, joyful, and unembarrassingly bawdy. She was funny, with the loudest, most unbridled laugh, allowing you to find her anyplace.
