Betty Dinkins

OKLAHOMA CITY - Betty Jo Dinkins was born in Dale Oklahoma on October 17, 1928. The third of three children born to Roy Randolph Rooker and Cleda Jarboe Rooker. Her father, a Dale pioneer farmer, built the home in which she was born and raised. She will be laid to rest in the Dale Cemetery which was carved from the original Rooker family homesteads. Betty’s parents provided a Christian upbringing. She and her youngest brother were baptized in a pond near the family homestead.

Karen Hajny

WELLSTON - Karen Onettia (Feil) Hajny formerly of Wellston, Oklahoma who resided in Kopperl, Texas in her later years, passed away on March 1, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma with her children and grandchildren beside her. Karen succumbed to her battle with cancer gracefully and now rest peacefully. Karen was a true fighter and did not express her illness to others. She always put others before herself in which she always stated; “I’m fine, I’m good, and I love you.” She gave the most wonderful hugs even up until the end and will be tremendously missed. Karen was loved by so many and gave love to all.

Milton O’Neal

On March 8, 2022 Milton ‘Bud’ O’Neal 93, left this earth for his eternal heavenly mansion. Bud was born Feb 14,1929 in Tecumseh, OK to Thomas O’Neal and Zelah Shepard O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Judy Morris and Freida Yott, wife Patricia Newman O’Neal, one son Dennis O’Neal, a great-grandson Donovan Stanberry and many other family and friends. Bud is survived by two daughters, Debbie Stanberry of McLoud, OK and DeAnn Waggoner and husband Stanley of Red Oak TX, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild. Bud served in the Navy for 6 years before raising his family in Dallas, TX. He was a resident of Midwest City, OK at the time of his death.

Sherry Jones, an Emmy-winning documentary producer who wedded investigative reporting with dramatic visuals, crafting television films that explored foreign affairs, American politics and national security issues including the Cuban missile crisis and the CIA torture program approved after 9/11, died Feb. 14 at a hospital in Washington. She was 73.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Clifford JW “Pete” White of Shawnee, OK passed from this life at the age of 87 on Friday, March 4, 2022 in Edmond, OK. He was born in Wayne, OK on July 17, 1934 to Charles Edward and Leeannie (Keeney) White. He was proud to say he was a Spaulding School Bobcat. Clifford was recruited by the Army in May, 1953 and spent almost 2 years in Germany and 6 more years back home in the Army reserves.
