Live-in boyfriend shames woman for being a mother

DEAR ABBY: I am a divorced mother of two teenagers. I’ve been seeing my boyfriend, “Sean,” for almost five years, and when the pandemic started, he moved in with us. I am supposed to share custody of my teens with their father, alternating weeks. However, his job requires travel, and the kids are with me more often than not, with little to no notice. They are also reaching an age where they don’t really want to go to their dad’s all the time.

This year, the Legislature approved several bills to improve and increase Oklahoma’s teacher workforce by creating programs to incentivize high school students to become teachers. HB 3564 requires the State Regents of Higher Education to establish a scholarship program to incentivize students entering teaching colleges.

Dear editor, One of the most famous quotes in political science is that of Lord Acton [1834-1902], “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. “ He continued, “great men are almost always bad men, the greatest names are coupled with the greatest crimes.” Why is that? I think it is because great offices confer considerable power to effect commensurate legal authority and associated power to do both good and bad.
