Some readers may recall his comments about the proposed Bikes on Broadway Blue Zones project, “I don’t care about history or culture; I’m only interested in sales tax revenue.” Those same sentiments seemed to be reflected in the possible candidates to fill the historic Depot when the city assumes management of the building, “whatever goes into that space has to be something that will draw revenue”----City Manager Weckmueller-Behringer.

DEAR ABBY: “Dana” has been my best friend since 1995. We did so many things together, until she had gastric bypass surgery three years ago. Mind you, Dana was never fat. Dear editor, Shawnee officials recently announced their intent to repurpose the Santa Fe Depot and did so without even consulting the Pottawatomie County Historical Society (PCHS) board who holds a long-standing lease for the building. And they immediately followed up with plans to cancel that lease.
LONDON (AP) — British prosecutors said Thursday they have charged actor Kevin Spacey with four counts of sexual assault against three men. The Crown Prosecution Service said Spacey “has also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.” The alleged incidents took place in London between March 2005 and August 2008, and one in western England in April 2013.
