After 17 busy weeks of work and thoughtful debate on hundreds of policy proposals, the Senate officially adjourned this legislative session on Friday. Before wrapping up the session, both legislative chambers passed the state budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1.
What this season achieved for you
As the first session of the 60th Oklahoma Legislature officially comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what this session meant for District 28, and for Oklahoma as a whole. Each year brings its own challenges and opportunities.

Memorial Day, which was celebrated May 26, is cause for contemplation and also renewal. Parades featuring people in uniform – those currently serving, those who have served, and those who protect us – should always be welcome.
