Dale overcomes bumps to capture Class A Fall State Baseball crown

OKLAHOMA CITY – Saturday’s Class A Fall State Baseball Tournament championship game was a microcosm of the Dale Pirates’ season. The 2022 fall campaign featured a lot of bumps in the road and there were a lot of bumps in Saturday’s game, but Dale weathered the storms and stunned the top-ranked Silo Rebels 18-11 to capture its second state title under head coach Eddie Jeffcoat (the other came in the fall of 2019) and the school’s 22nd overall (fall and spring combined).

Big Caram hit, Hill pitching lift Dale in first round of Class 2A State

OKLAHOMA CITY – State tournaments don’t get old for Dale senior Chayse Caram. “This is the fourth time I’ve been here and it never gets easier,” said Caram, who smashed a clutch run-scoring single to center field in the top of the seventh inning to break a 2-all tie and lift the Lady Pirates to a 3-2 victory over Minco in the first round of the Class 2A State Tournament at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex.
