The Shawnee Lady Wolves and Tecumseh Lady Savages are set to launch regional softball action on Wednesday and Thursday. Shawnee, 15-12 on the season, will open play in a Class 5A regional at Coweta on Wednesday with two other teams – Collinsville and host Coweta.
CHOCTAW – In a tune-up game for Class 4A regionals, the Tecumseh Lady Savages dropped an 11-1 decision to Class 6A Choctaw on Monday. Tecumseh was limited to two hits – a triple by Bristin Hayes (1for-2) and a single from Cadence Oliver (1-for-2).

TECUMSEH – The Tecumseh High School volleyball team celebrated ‘Senior Night’ last Thursday with an easy 3-0 victory over Northwest Classen, The set-by-set scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-8. Six seniors led the way as Chloe Kelsey set the tone for the offense with 21 assists to go with eight aces, eight digs and one kill.
MANNFORD – Caleb Hawkins ran for 222 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns and Landon Kelough was 7-of-9 passing for 109 yards and one score as the North Rock Creek Cougars knocked off the Mannford Pirates 30-21 Friday night.
MIDWEST CITY – Xavier Robinson rushed for 155 yards on 13 carries and scored four touchdowns Friday night as the Carl Albert Titans blitzed the Shawnee Wolves 59-7. Shawnee, 0-5 overall and 0-2 in District 5A-2, managed just 102 yards of offense, including 68 yards on 23 attempts on the ground.
CHANDLER – Early quick scores from Chandler set the tone as the Lions roared past the Meeker Bulldogs 47-28 Friday night in a Highway 18, Lincoln County clash at Joe Telford Field. Chandler, 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in District 2A-2, tallied three first-quarter touchdowns and scored twice more in the second in building a 35-14 halftime advantage to secure control of the game.
SILO – JB Leaver fired a three-hit shutout while Jack Rooker and Easton Edmonson each drove home a pair of runs as the Dale Pirates clipped Tushka 8-0 in a Class A regional runner-up game on Friday.
