DAVIS – The Tecumseh Lady Savages completed a two-day, four-game sweep in action Friday during the Murray County Bash with a 2-0 shutout of Cache and a 6-1 decision over Davis. Friday’s two victories vaulted Tecumseh to 8-3 on the season.
HOLDENVILLE – The Seminole High School boys’ cross country team swept the top three spots as the Chieftains tied for first place in the 2-mile Wolverine Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday.
DALE – Jack Rooker went 2-for-3 from the plate, drove in three runs and scored once Thursday as the Dale Pirates thumped the Asher Indians 11-3 in five innings. Teammate Dayton Forsythe was 2-for-4 with a triple, double and two runs scored as Dale pounded out seven hits.
DEL CITY – Anneca Anderson struck out 19 batters and fired a two-hit shutout Thursday as the Shawnee Lady Wolves blanked the Del City Lady Eagles 3-0. Anderson, who surrendered just two walks as well, drove home two of Shawnee’s three runs on an RBI single in the first inning and a run-scoring triple in the sixth.

The Big Ten’s new $7 billion media rights deal will string the conference’s top football games across three major networks each week, creating an NFL-style television schedule on Saturdays. The Big Ten announced Thursday it has reached seven-yar agreements with Fox, CBS and NBC to share the rights to the conference’s football and basketball games.

DAVIS – Katelyn Fleming drove home four runs in a 2-for-3 performance from the plate Thursday as the Tecumseh Lady Savages smashed Purcell 10-0 in 3 ½ innings during the Murray County Bash. Fleming hit a triple and double while scoring three times for Tecumseh, which compiled eight hits in the contest.
The undefeated North Rock Creek’s volleyball squad suffered its first loss of the season Thursday night to Oklahoma Christian School. The Lady Cougars were swept by the Lady Saints 3-0.
