DAVIS – Hannah Earlywine hit a grand slam and Katie Larson went 3-for-4 and drove in a run as the North Rock Creek Lady Cougars hammered the Davis Lady Wolves 15-3 in five innings Friday. North Rock Creek trailed 3-1 before plating 14 runs in the top of the fifth.

Lincoln Christian pounded out 1 hits and limited North Rock Creek to four in rolling to a 22-4 triumph over the Cougars on Saturday. Kaleb Boatman hit a solo-homer in a 1-for-2 effort.

BRISTOW – Michael Pearne, Mirakle Blackshire and Avery Holmes posted winning efforts as the Shawnee High School track teams competed in the Bristow Darold Ritchie Invitational. In addition, the Wolves’ 4x800 relay team of Alex Porter, Eli Wiley, Isaiah Smith and Zander Wood captured top honors with a time of 8:55.63.

The Dale Lady Pirates went 1-1 on the final day of their own festival at the Ballfields at Firelake on Friday. Choctaw knocked off Dale 12-9, but the Lady Pirates bounced back for a 10-1 rout of Howe to wrap up play in the two-day event.

Ninth-ranked (NCBWA) Southern Arkansas won a close one over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday, earning a 3-1 decision in Great American Conference play at Bobby Cox Field. The pitching and defense on this day was superb by both teams.
