TECUMSEH – The Tecumseh Lady Savages pounded out 32 hits over two games and easily coasted to a Class 5A district slow-pitch softball sweep of the Seminole Lady Chieftains, 12-0 and 19-0, on Thursday. Tecumseh (31-5) compiled 12 hits in the doubleheader opener and piled up 21 in the second as each game lasted just four innings.
Earlsboro advanced to Regional Tournament action with a sweep of New Lima in district play Tuesday at the Ball Fields at Firelake. Earlsboro 10, New Lima 3 The Falcons took a 1-0 lead after one inning and retook the lead at 3-2 in the top of the third.
The Bethel Lady Wildcats whipped the Byng Lady Pirates 11-3 and then routed Madill in two straight games, 16-4 and 18-2, to earn a Class 5A District Slow-Pitch Softball Championship on Wednesday. Bethel 11, Byng 3 Bailey Tucker hit a triple and double while driving in three runs and scoring once in going 2-for-4 from the plate for the Wildcats.
SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist football team hosted its annual spring game earlier this month inside Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex.
MIDWEST CITY – Larron Morris fired a career-best 85 for 10th place individually as the Bethel Lady Wildcat golf squad took eighth place in the team standings at Carl Albert Lady Titans Invitational at the John Conrad Course. There were 73 individuals competing as 16 teams (from Classes 3A-6A) participated.
