BETHEL ACRES — Bryce Tapley, Kord Johnson and Paul Villegas combined for a five-inning one-hitter Monday as Bethel completed a doubleheader sweep with a 10-0 victory over Christian Heritage. In the opener, Bethel prevailed 19-12.
BETHEL ACRES — Prague amassed 41 hits in seven innings Monday while riddling Ada, 13-3, and Bethel, 19-5. In the 3 ½ inning run-rule decision over Ada, Prague got all 13 runs in the bottom of the first inning.
MEEKER — Nine-run explosions in the second and fifth innings carried Meeker to a 20-11 triumph over McLoud Monday. Meeker outhit McLoud 16-14 and the latter posted seven errors, causing 17 unearned runs.
BRISTOW — The Pirates of Bristow raced out to an 11-0 lead after one inning and made that stand up for an 11-0 win over North Rock Creek Monday. North Rock Creek was limited to two hits, singles by freshman Gus Snodgrass and junior Benjamin Campbell.
Easton Odell pitched four strong innings and went 3-for-3 from the plate with a triple, double, single and three runs batted in as the Shawnee Wolves drilled Del City 15-4 Friday in the Bill Tipton Classic at Memorial Park’s Ed Skelton Field.
Special Olympics took athletes from McLoud Public Schools to compete in the Captiol Area Track events on Thursday, April 7. All the athletes came back with ribbons.
Dale rebounded from a 9-3 setback to Choctaw to whip Del City 10-0 Friday in action from the Bill Tipton Classic at Memorial Park. Choctaw combined seven hits with seven walks and three Dale errors.
STROUD — Demi Manning and Jadyn Hightower each cranked out a home run as the Prague Lady Red Devils nipped the Chandler Lady Lions 17-15 Friday for the championship of the 66 Conference Slow Pitch Softball Tournament.
BETHEL ACRES — The Wildcats of Bethel dropped two games to Heritage Hall Friday. Heritage Hall 18, Bethel 8 Bethel led 7-0 after four innings, but the Chargers posted three runs in the fifth, five in the sixth and 10 in the seventh.
WETUMKA — Bethel recorded its first three victories of the season Friday as it put together a 3-1 record at the Wetumka Tournament. Bethel 2, Sasakwa 1 (4 innings) Bethel notched a run in the top of the first and a run in the fourth while Sasakwa scored in the third.
