ASHER – Erick Cole tossed a three-hitter over five innings and Beau Willis hit a home run Wednesday as the Asher Indians shut out Strother 8-0 to capture a Class B district championship.

CHANDLER – The Chandler Lady Lions won three of four games in securing a Class 5A Slow-Pitch Softball District on Tuesday.

North Rock Creek Lady Cougars rolled to three easy shutout victories in claiming a slow-pitch softball district sweep on Tuesday. NRC hammered Okmulgee 12-0 in three innings before taking two from Santa Fe South by scores of 14-0 and 15-0.

Oklahoma Baptist shortstop Greenlee Wells earned Great American Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday. The accolade, her second of the season, comes after the Bison went 5-0 with Wells leading the way offensively.

The Tulsa Edison soccer program brought two of the top teams in District 5A-4 to Jim Thorpe Stadium Tuesday night for Shawnee’s Senior Night. The Eagles left with a sweep, but not before the Wolves accomplished something only one other team had this year.

HOWE – It took four games to do it, but the Prague Lady Red Devils won three of four games and captured a district championship on Tuesday. Prague opened play with a 13-2 pounding of Panama.
