DALE – Teague Muncy and Heartly Snyder each cranked out a home run and doubled one time apiece Tuesday as the Dale Lady Pirates crushed Mustang 15-2 in four innings. Muncy went 3-for-4 from the plate with four runs batted in and two runs scored while Snyder was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
CUSHING – The Shawnee Lady Wolves crushed Crooked Oak 12-0 but saw their first season of varsity slow-pitch softball come to an end after falling to host Cushing 15-0 and 12-0 on Tuesday in district play. Shawnee 12, Crooked Oak 0 Jalee Reeves tripled once, drove home three runs and scored twice to lead the Lady Wolves’ offense.
BETHANY -- Southern Nazarene rallied late to defeat Oklahoma Baptist, 7–6, in a walk-off win Tuesday in Bethany. Despite owning a 13-6 advantage in hits, the Bison stranded 11 runners and committed a few timely errors which allowed the hosts to prevail.
Looper pitches two-hitter as NRC pounds Perkins-Tryon
McLoud hosted one of the toughest 5A Slow Pitch Districts in the state Tuesday at the Ball Fields at Firelake. The Lady Redskins hosted Lindsay (a fast pitch state qualifier) and Berryhill (who had beaten McLoud earlier in the season) in District Tournament play.

After having a lot of success bringing back a fun fundraiser in 2024, organizers announced that this year’s Shawnee Powder Puff game will be held May 2 on the turf at Jim Thorpe Stadium. “I think it was very successful last year,” said pom team member Abi Clements.
CHECOTAH – The Prague Lady Red Devils recently had several high finishers while placing second as a team in the Checotah Track and Field Meet. Junior Harley Johnson won the 400-meter dash and was part of a 4x800 relay team with Hailey Johnson, Hanna Rolette and Jocelyn Ward as the foursome posted a team-best time of 10:09.
The Tecumseh Lady Savages and Dale Lady Pirates each got off to 2-0 starts on Thursday in the Dale Festival at the Ballfields at FireLake. Tecumseh rallies past Pryor 6-4, slams Shattuck 20-9 Tecumseh 6, Pryor 4 Jessi Hull hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Embrie Smith delivered a three-run double to center field which proved to be the difference in the fifth as the Lady Savages rallied from a 4-0 deficit.
