LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Deshawn Munson filled the boxscore big time as he and teammate Mustapha Traore recorded a double-double in the Potawatomi Fire’s 112-91 victory over the Little Rock Lightning Sunday afternoon. The victory moved the Fire to a perfect 2-0 in its inaugural season in The Basketball League (TBL). The Fire was coming off a historic 112-104 triumph over the host Rockwall 7ers in its franchise opener on Friday in Rockwall, Texas.

Six different Oklahoma Baptist batters hit above .500 on Saturday as the green and gold won twice against Southwestern Oklahoma State at a windy Bobby Cox Field at Ford Park. The Bison cruised to an 18-6 win in game one before solidifying the sweep with a 11-7 game-two result.
ARDMORE – Cruz Merrell and Camden Sateren each tallied two goals as the Shawnee Wolves secured their first soccer victory of the young season Friday with a 6-3 triumph over host Ardmore. Liam Kubiak and Gage Karner also had a goal apiece for Shawnee which evened its season record at 1-1.
ADA — For the second time in less than two weeks, 18th-ranked Kingston became a thorn in the playoff hopes of the Prague boys. A 63-47 winner over Prague in the regional, Kingston ended the Red Devils season Friday with a 59-37 triumph at a Class 3A area tournament.
JENKS – The Shawnee Lady Wolves saw their 2021-22 basketball season come to an end after dropping a 32-31 decision to the Grove Ridgerunners Saturday in a Class 5A consolation area bracket game. Shawnee, which saw its season come to an end at 10-17, committed a turnover with eight seconds to go.
ADA – Kingston knocked down 30-of-35 free throws and outlasted the Bethel Wildcats 64-55 in a four-overtime Class 3A consolation finals bracket thriller Saturday at Ada High School. Cole Morgan fired in a game-high 19 points and Dakota Wiebener finished with 12 for Kingston, which advances to the Class 3A State Tournament.
A dismal third quarter spelled doom for the North Rock Creek Cougars Friday as they were suffered a 53-46 setback to the Blanchard Lions in a Class 4A area playoff contest at Shawnee High School. Trailing by a slim 24-21 margin at halftime, North Rock Creek hit just 2-of-10 shot attempts in the third quarter and fell into a 11-point, 37-26 hole going into the fourth period.
ADA – Parker Stevenson poured in 25 points as the Bethel Lady Wildcats punched their ticket for a Class 3A State Tournament berth with a 56-54 win over Comanche Saturday in an area runner-up clash. Fifth-ranked Bethel (22-4) will face Idabel Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
ADA — Thanks to a blistering longrange shooting display, the thirdranked Dale girls riddled fifth-ranked Latta 64-39 Friday in a Class 2A area tournament winners bracket showdown. The win earned Dale a berth in the state tournament against Silo Thursday at 9 a.m., at the State Fairgrounds Arena in Oklahoma City.
