ASHER – Nevaeh Griffin slammed a three-run homer and Preslee Taylor went 3-for-4 from the plate and scored three times Tuesday as the Asher Lady Indians drilled the Davis Lady Wolves 14-4. Taylor not only had the three hits but tossed a five-hitter and walked only one in the five-inning contest.
McLOUD – The McLoud Lady Redskins racked up 17 hits over two games and rolled to a 12-2, 6-1 slow-pitch softball doubleheader sweep of the Seminole Chieftains on Monday. McLoud 6, Seminole 1 (Game 2, Monday) Lexy Patterson finished 2-for-2 from the plate with two runs batted in and scored twice while limiting the Lady Chieftains to three hits.
BETHEL ACRES – The Bethel Wildcats rolled up 33 runs and 18 hits and cruised to an easy 16-2, 17-5 baseball doubleheader sweep of the Okmulgee Bulldogs on Monday. Bethel 16, Okmulgee 2 (Game 1) The game lasted just three innings as the Wildcats tallied eight runs each in the first two innings.
WEWOKA – Beau Newport had a 3-for-3 performance form the plate and Titus Grimes pitched a three-inning, two-hitter Monday as the Meeker Bulldogs hammered the Wewoka Tigers 24-1 in three innings. Grimes struck out four and surrendered just two walks as the lone Wewoka run was earned.
BYNG – Jadyn Hightower’s two-run double to center field in the top of the 11th inning proved to be the difference Tuesday as the Prague Lady Red Devils edged the Byng Lady Pirates 7-6.
Molly Campbell and Sarah Campbell each slammed a homer as the North Rock Creek Lady Cougars upended Purcell 9-4 on Tuesday. Molly Campbell went 4-for-4 from the plate with the home run, three runs batted in and three runs scored.
McLOUD - The top four teams in McLoud’s baseball district have four losses combined. On Tuesday, McLoud finished a home and home series with undefeated Ada.
Teague Muncy cranked out two home runs Tuesday as the Dale Lady Pirates topped the host North Rock Creek Lady Cougars 8-5 in slow-pitch softball play. Muncy and Heartly Snyder each posted three-hit outings as Muncy (3-for-4) finished with three runs batted in and scored three runs while Snyder (3-for-3) doubled twice, knocked in a run and scored once.
PURCELL – The Chandler Lions were limited to two hits while the Purcell Dragons pounded out 13 in rolling to a 12-0 decision on Monday.
The Shawnee Lady Wolves, behind a goal apiece from the senior tandem of Addison Williams and Jasmine Ramirez, rolled to a 2-0 victory over Lawton Monday night in girls’ high school soccer action at Jim Thorpe Stadium. The win was the first of the season for Shawnee which improved to 1-3.
