
Chandler upends Jones, Okemah in Thursday-Saturday games

DEL CITY – Four Shawnee players drove home two runs apiece as the Wolves drilled Del City 15-2 in five innings Tuesday for their second victory of the season. Ty Janda went 3-for-4 from the plate with a triple, two runs batted in and scored three times as Shawnee compiled eight hits in the game.

HARRAH – The Meeker Bulldogs managed just two hits – both by Maverick Herring – as they dropped a 9-1 decision to the Harrah Panthers in five innings on Monday. Herring went 2-for-2 from the plate and scored the lone run.

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Oklahoma Baptist secured a 5-2 victory over Henderson State on Saturday at Dee White Field.

A three-run rally in the third inning gave North Rock Creek a lead over Cushing, but the insurance run in the fourth inning proved to be the game-winner in a 4-3 district win over the Tigers Monday in a Spring Break afternoon game. The Cougars fell behind on a first-inning RBI double, but in the third inning, Hasten Conley started the rally with a single.

CUSHING – The North Rock Creek Cougars doubled Cushing’s hit total at 10-5 but suffered a 7-6 defeat at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday. NRC and Cushing split the two-game series after the Cougars won Monday’s game at home.

Oklahoma Baptist faced a tough heavily offensive Southwestern Oklahoma State squad, seeing the Bulldogs batter the Bison with a 20-10 final in seven innings of play. SWOSU finished the evening with 20 runs on 19 hits and a couple errors as OBU totaled 10 runs on 11 hits with four errors.
Oklahoma Baptist refused to finish the weekend action on a negative note with an 8-7 Sunday afternoon victory over Henderson State to fend off a road sweep from the Reddies. The Bison faced a tough Henderson State offense in Day 1 of action where Henderson State claimed the series with back-to-back wins in Games 1 and 2.

TECUMSEH - Elias Hasler threw a two-hit shutout over six innings as the Tecumseh Savages run-ruled Shawnee 8-0 Monday afternoon. Hasler needed only 81 pitches in six innings.

BROKEN BOW – The Tecumseh Lady Savages’ slow-pitch softball squad received a 2-for-2 hitting performance from Embrie Smith as she hit one triple, drove home two runs and scored twice Monday in crushing Vanoss 11-0 in 4 ½ innings in the Broken Bow Festival. Alyssa Norton, who was 1-for-1, knocked in two runs and scored twice.
