BETHEL ACRES – Parker Wells went 3-for-4 from the plate with two doubles and a run scored while Derrock Criswell earned the pitching victory and hit a home run as the young Shawnee Wolves notched their first win of the season Friday with a 13-4 thumping of host Bethel in extreme windy conditions. Criswell pitched all five innings as only two of the Bethel runs were earned.
The Dale Pirates rolled to two easy wins in Arkansas Saturday over the Murfeesboro Rattlers 13-0 and Horatio Lions. The two wins hiked Dale’s record to 4-1 heading into more play in Arkansas.

It was quite the day for Tecumseh’s Steeli Mitchell on Thursday in the Tecumseh Lady Savages’ season-opening slow-pitch games in the North Rock Creek Festival at the Ballfields at Firelake. Mitchell blasted a two-run homer in the seventh inning to cap off Tecumseh’s 13-10 victory over Westmoore in the Lady Savages’ first game and then launched a grand slam in the top of the seventh during Tecumseh’s 11-1 thumping of Yukon in their second contest of the season.

OKLAHOMA CITY - A Kyler Moore 3-pointer with three seconds left gave Sequoyah-Claremore a 59-56 overtime win Thursday and ended Chandler’s season in the opening round of the 3A State Tournament. Every loss brings a degree of regret.

McLOUD – It was a 30-hit day for the McLoud Lady Redskins as they crushed Meeker 18-0 and Varnum 18-1 on Thursday in slow-pitch play.

SEMINOLE - Seminole State College has named Austin Bogle as the full-time head coach of the men’s basketball team, removing the interim tag just in time for the Trojans’ run in the Region II - Division I Tournament. The announcement comes as SSC prepared to compete in the tournament at Rougher Village Arena in Muskogee from March 12-15.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Bethany threw everything they had at 4A No. 4 North Rock Creek on Wednesday.

BETHEL ACRES - Bethel was dominant from the start and rolled to a 13-0 win over Seminole Tuesday. Layla Menhusen had an inside-the-park home run and two runs batted in.
