OKLAHOMA CITY - Dale came into the 2A State Tournament with something to prove. The Pirates had won three-straight state titles, but they lost a generational talent when Dayton Forsythe graduated and headed to the University of Oklahoma.
HENNESSEY – Caleb Hawkins poured in 22 points to spark the fourth-ranked North Rock Creek Cougars to a 55-43 triumph over eighth-ranked Oklahoma Christian School Friday for a Class 4A Area Championship. Only five players scored for NRC, but four of them reached double figures.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Bible Academy Lady Trojans uncorked eight huge 3-pointers while shooting 55.9% from the field in upsetting the top-ranked Dale Lady Pirates 58-47 Friday in the semifinals of the Class 2A State Tournament at Jim Norick Arena. From the 2:27 mark of the first quarter and on, OBA led the game as Dale struggled to hit shots (37.8% for the game) and managed just three treys (3-of-15 for 20%).

OKLAHOMA CITY – The top-ranked Dale Lady Pirates caused a massive disruption to the Merritt Oilerettes’ offensive flow and coasted to a 66-33 rout Thursday afternoon in the first round of the Class 2A State Tournament at Jim Norick Arena. Dale forced 23 Merritt turnovers, several of which led to some transition baskets.
