The North Rock Creek Lady Cougars scorched the nets in the opening quarter to set the tone and the NRC boys pulled away by outscoring Shawnee in the second through fourth periods in sweeping the Lady Wolves and Wolves Saturday in a noisy and nearly full house at the SHS Performing Arts and Athletic Center. The NRC girls claimed a 59-46 decision while the Cougars were 61-53 winners over Shawnee in the boys’ contest.
McLOUD – Eleven McLoud players got on the scoring list as the Lady Redskins smashed Pathways 61-14 Saturday night.
VANOSS – The Class 2A top-ranked Dale Pirates connected on eleven 3-point shot attempts in rolling to am 83-41 rout of sixth-ranked and host Vanoss on Friday. Denton Forsythe, who sank five of those treys, finished with 27 points.
Oklahoma Baptist used a dominant second half to overcome a halftime deficit and secure a 69-59 victory over Arkansas Tech on Saturday in Great American Conference action at the Noble Complex. Trailing 35-29 at the break, the Bison (14-8 overall, 11-5 GAC) came out firing in the second half, outscoring the Wonder Boys (9-13, 6-10 GAC) by 16 points behind an efficient offensive display and strong defensive effort.
The Oklahoma Baptist University’s women’s basketball squad hammered Arkansas Tech 79-59 Saturday at the Noble Complex. The opening stanza saw OBU score 17 points for a seven-point lead over the visitors.

Oklahoma Baptist is flawless on Bison Hill after securing their fifth consecutive victory and fourth win at home. The Bison got the job done Sunday afternoon with another run rule to close out the series finale in with Metropolitan State-Denver in seven innings at 12-2.
Tecumseh High School’s Vivian Hayes won the Midwestern Conference Championship at 105 pounds and was also voted champion of champions at the event. Hayes is currently ranked No. 1 in 5A girls wrestling in the state at 105 pounds.
