The Family of Faith Christian junior high boys’ basketball squad recently won a Heartland Christian Association State Championship after knocking off Fayetteville Christian 29-25 last Saturday at the Oklahoma Baptist University Noble Complex. Cam Donnelly paced the victorious Warriors with nine points, followed by Kabren Thomas with seven, Nick Wiedel and Henry Hammons with four each, Daelon Tomlin with three and Brendan Tomlin with two.
The Liberty Academy Junior High girls’ basketball team placed second in the Heartland Christian Athletic Association 1A State Tournament last weekend. The team, under head coach Steve Leader and assistant coach Steven Little, includes Emerson Quinalty, Emma Follett, Morgan Izell, Savannah Ezell, Ava Zarrella, Gracie Sanders, Emily Davis and Ava Richardson.
McLoud and Tecumseh split their games Tuesday night with the Lady Redskins pulling away thanks to a spark from a freshman off the bench, but the Savages came from behind to steal an upset win and prevent a McLoud sweep. OKLAHOMA CITY – The Class 4A 10th-ranked North Rock Creek Lady Cougars placed three players in double figures and coasted to a 56-47 triumph over the host Mount St. Mary Rockets Tuesday night.
