Shawnee shot 62.2% from the field as Josie Megehee had a high-shooting volume night in the Lady Wolves’ 54-33 triumph over the Tulsa Bishop Kelley Lady Comets Friday at the SHS Performing Arts and Athletic Center. In the boys’ game, Shawnee blew a nine-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and suffered a 52-46 defeat at the hands of the Bishop Kelley Comets.
HARRAH – The Shawnee Lady Wolves won nine of 11 events as they competed in a three-way swim meet with host Harrah and Choctaw on Thursday. Tenielle Kidd, Makenzie Burch and Gracyn Simpson each captured two races and Nylena Davis won one.
MONTICELLO, Arkansas – The Oklahoma Baptist University women’s basketball squad secured a late comeback win over Arkansas Monticello to split the week on the road. The Bison flipped the tables on the Blossoms with a late comeback to take down UAM for a 71-62 victory.
BETHEL ACRES - Without one of their leading scorers, the Bethel Wildcats forced overtime before coming up just short against Wewoka. The Lady Wildcats had no trouble handling the Tigers in the first game of the evening.
PLAINVIEW – Janya Bruner poured in 25 points and Peyton Bays tossed in 18 Saturday as the Tecumseh Lady Savages outscored host Plainview 10-2 in overtime to claim a 56-48 victory.
MONTICELLO, Ark. – Senior Daniel Ransom scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half as the Oklahoma Baptist Bison rallied from a seven-point deficit to defeat Arkansas-Monticello 75-70 on Saturday at Steelman Fieldhouse.
The two-time defending champion Potawatomi Fire will have 10 home games in the friendly confines of FireLake Arena when The Basketball League’s 2025 season is launched in March. The 20-game schedule will have Coach Mark Dannhoff’s Fire opening the campaign on March 2 on the road against the Little Rock Lightning.
The Basketball League’s Potawatomi Fire recently signed three more players to shore up their roster for the 2025 season. The two-time defending champions, of head coach Mark Dannhoff, have signed one TBL veteran – Kam Williams - and two rookies – Charles Lampten and Buay Koka - to up their roster total to 11.
The Class B No. 18 Earlsboro Lady Wildcats went into the Beggs Invitational as the only Class B team in the tournament with a field of Class 3A to 5A teams.
TULSA – Booker T. Washington rolled to a massive 36-11 lead through one quarter and coasted to a 109-59 triumph over the Shawnee Wolves Tuesday night.
