Kay Edmond Neiden, 89, of Shawnee, passed away peacefully Friday, March 11, 2016, surrounded by his family. Kay was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Lipscomb County, Texas, son of the late August Neiden and Olga Neiden. He graduated high school in Booker, Texas, and went on to attend West Texas State University where he met the love of his life love of his life, Kathryn Rose. They married on Oct. 6, 1947, and spent the next 68 years together.

Survivors include his wife; three children and their spouses, Vickie and Bill Bair, Marilyn and Mark Rhoads, Donna and Don Riley; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Warren Neiden; two special cousins, Sheila Maynard and Jonnie Witt; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean Folks and one grandchild.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Service will be Thursday March 17, at Redeemer Lutheran Church located on 39307 W MacArthur St, Shawnee, OK. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
