Clara Mae Baker, 85, of Macomb, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in Shawnee.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1931, to Hiram and Annie Rebecca (Tackett) Anderson in Virgie, Kentucky.

Clara grew up in Ashcamp, Kentucky.

She married Lundy Eugene Baker in Belleville, Michigan on Sept. 28, 1968, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2016.

Clara has lived in Macomb since 1974.

She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, enjoyed reading the bible, going to yard sales, cooking and traveling.

She was proceeded in death by her husbands John Gilliam, and Lundy Baker; son, John Gilliam; her parents, Hiram and Annie Anderson, and great-grandson, Michael Quarrels; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Barry and Patti Gilliam of Oklahoma City and Kernie and Jackie Gilliam of Gladwin, Michigan; one daughter, Sherry (Gilliam) Moore of Macomb; daughter-in-law, Penny Gilliam of Macomb; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many other relatives; and numerous friends.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 11, at Mars Hill Cemetery in Macomb with Pastor Chad Brodrick officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
