Ilene B. Crane, 81, of Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, in Shawnee.

Ilene B. Crane, 81, of Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, in Shawnee.

She was born Nov. 25, 1934, to Roy and Francis Mary (Chapman) Roper in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

Ilene was raised in Tecumseh and attended Tecumseh Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 1952 from Tecumseh High School. She lived in McLoud until she married and has lived in the Tecumseh/Shawnee area most of her adult life.

She married Charles Alfred Crane on July 4, 1953, in Tecumseh, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2011.

Ilene was a member of Living Love Christian Center. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her home and family. Ilene enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Crane; her parents; and sister, Mary Wiegert.

Survivors include six sons and six daughters-in-law: Randy and Marilyn Crane of Shawnee, David and Debbie Crane of Mustang, Charles and Teresa Crane of Tecumseh, Tim and Barbara Crane of Longview, Texas, Scott and Devoshia Crane of Ardmore, and Mike and Michelle Crane of Shawnee; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Colbert Holcomb of Harrah; two sisters, Violet Watson of Shawnee, and Bea Calvert of Tribbey; close and special friend, Mary Mason; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5, and continue through service time. Family gathering to meet with friends and family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Cooper Funeral Home.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at Living Love Christian Center in Shawnee with Pastor Mark Guinn officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
