A Shawnee boy recovering from burns to his bottom after being hit by a car had a chance Friday night to stand with the Shawnee Wolves football team during the coin toss.

Logan Skelton, 8, is a second-grader who plays football on a youth Wolves football team. But his love of playing football was sidelined for the season after he was hit by a car while playing in his yard on Sept. 30.

Logan spent many days at OU Children's Hospital for treatment of third-degree burns and other injuries. He is now continuing his recovery with outpatient care.

The hit-and-run suspect has been arrested in that case.
