Ruby Jean Fisher was born in Pampa, Texas, on Nov. 1, 1929, to “Pete” and Mildred Sitton. She married Thomas Evan Fisher on March 20, 1951, in Raymondville, Texas. Jean left this earth on Nov. 29, 2016, after a long battle with COPD.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, sister-in-law, Jan Sitton and infant grandson, Austin Fisher.

She leaves behind her brother, Louis Sitton, sister, Martha and husband, Charles Loflin, son Tom and wife, Sharon Fisher, son Richard and wife Cindy Fisher. She also leaves grandchildren, Dusti and husband Lenny Watkins, Sommer Willis, Zachary Fisher, Brandon and wife Gabrielle Fisher, Talor Fisher and Halle Bryan. Jean leaves 13 great-grandchildren, Gage, Jordan, Skylah, Shelby, Mackynzee, Chance, Tomi Jo, Greyson, Brenlynn, Bryleigh, Jaxon, Harley and Makynna.

After 20 years of service, Jean retired from Tinker AFB in 1992. She was a Procurement Officer for the B52 and B1 Bombers. She loved spending time at the lake with Richard and Cindy and traveling with Tom and Sharon in the RV. She loved her church, her UMW group and her time playing cards with friends.

The celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at Sunnylane UMC in Del City. Services provided by Ford Funeral Services.
