Warren “Moe” Anderson passed away Feb. 6, 2017, in Galveston, Texas.

He was born July 17, 1954, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Warren graduated from MacArthur High School, Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1972.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1980. During his service he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and became an expert with the M-16 rifle.

He married Connie Anderson Aug. 1, 1998.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Anderson and his grandson Shawn Paul.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Anderson of Angleton, Texas, his father, Cecil Anderson of Rockport, Texas, brother Ken and wife, Cheryl, of Norman, Oklahoma, brother John and wife, Debbie, of Angleton, Texas, sister Marcy and husband, David, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, children Josh, Stephanie and Erin Anderson of Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and close friends.

Warren enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking out and watching The Three Stooges. He worked in the maintenance field most of his life, retiring from TDCJ in 2010.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Northway Baptist Church, 1421 Buchta Road, Angleton, Texas.
