Brad West, a partner with The West Law Firm of Shawnee, has been named Vice President for the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) for calendar year 2017. The announcement was made at the Oklahoma Chapter Annual Banquet.
ABOTA is a national organization whose membership is by invitation only and is based upon an attorney’s trial experience, integrity and reputation. Its primary goal is to educate the public about the importance of the trial by jury system in America.
West, who was selected as an ABOTA Oklahoma Chapter member in 2006, is one of only 78 Oklahoma attorneys in this important advocacy group, including West Law Firm founder, Terry West and attorney, Gregg W. Luther. Brad West has been associated with The West Law Firm for more than 25 years, focusing his practice on plaintiff law, including: medical malpractice, product liability, truck collisions and class actions.
West is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Oklahoma Association for Justice, serving as the OAJ President in 2006. He has been included in the “Super Lawyers in Oklahoma” list since 2006. As a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, he was named him one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Oklahoma.” West is a member of both the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Texas Bar Association and he is licensed to practice in both states.
Brad West earned a B.A. from Oklahoma Baptist University and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law.
