Albert Padilla, 72, of Brookland, Texas, died March 10, 2017, at Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Albert Padilla, 72, of Brookland, Texas, died March 10, 2017, at Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Cremation will be handled by Claybar Funeral Home with services at a later date.

Albert was born June 22, 1944, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Jessie and Andrea Padilla and had resided in Brookland since 2003. Following graduation from high school, he entered the Army where he served as an infantryman. Upon returning to his home in Shawnee, he was employed by Pratts Foods as a butcher. He loved anything outdoors, especially yard work and fishing. Albert had a large family whom he loved very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lois Martinez and Nora Webb; daughter, Kelly Dahms; son, Albert “Bud” Padilla.

He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Stacy Root and John, of Brookland, Shawna Walker and Todd, of McLoud, Amber Padillia and John of Shawnee; 33 grand and great-grandchildren and special friends Elaine Penson, Steffani Howell, Troy Reich and many more.
