Roger L. “Bubba” Mairel III, 24, of Macomb, passed from this life March 10, 2017, in Oklahoma City.

Bubba was born Oct. 22, 1992, to Roger Lee Mairel Jr. and Isa Wallace in Oklahoma City.

He was raised in Calumet and later in Moore. His family has lived in Tecumseh since 1999 and Bubba has lived in Macomb since 2011.

He was a handyman-construction worker by trade. He enjoyed doing landscaping. Bubba also enjoyed camping, nature and water activities when possible.

Bubba will be remembered as a giving and loyal person. His family and being a Christian was a main focal point in his life. He was a “hugger.”

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, William Wallace; great-grandparents, Ott and Barbara Williams; and uncle, Jimmy McIntyre.

Bubba is survived by his mother, Isa Wallace of Oklahoma City; fiancée, Pez Pebworth of Oklahoma City; father, Roger Mairel Jr.; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shea and Tyler Land of Shawnee and Sherry Williams of Tecumseh and Joe Williams of Shawnee; nieces and nephews, Justice Williams, Jaxson Williams and Malaya Land; grandparents, Opal Mairel of Macomb and Carol Wallace of Calumet; and numerous loving friends, aunts, uncles and extended family.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, and continue through service time. Family gathering to meet with friends and family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, at Cooper Funeral Home.

Service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 16, at Tecumseh First Church of God with Reverend Todd Tiffin officiating. Burial will follow at Marrs Hill Cemetery in Macomb under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
