OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Police say a suspect has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a Macomb man in southwest Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Sgt. Gary Knight said Monday that the suspect was arrested less than a quarter-mile from the stabbing of 24-year-old Roger Lee Mairel.

According to obituary information submitted to the News-Star, Mairel was from Macomb.

Court records do not show that formal charges have been filed.

Police say Mairel was found with stab wounds shortly before midnight last Thursday and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
