• Enjoy Boo on Bell in Shawnee: Boo on Bell will be held tonight and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Several events for the festival will include live music, costume contests, family activities, carnival, vendors of all kinds, delicious food from all over the state, and one of the biggest trick-or-treat turnouts you will ever find.

Let's Zeppelin-A Tribute will play two shows at the Historic Ritz Theater.  These shows will be at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 20th.  Tickets are $15 each, and can be purchased through the SEFF Shawnee Facebook page. Come enjoy a very realistic recreation of some of your favorite music.

The Scaredy Cat Crawl 5K and Family 1 mile walk/run will be on Saturday morning.  Events will be happening all day on Saturday, October 21st, including the pet costume contest at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Hornbeck Theater on Bell Street, and a Zombie March at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Ritz Theater on Main Street.  The Zombie March is open to all ages.  Grab your friends and get those creative juices flowing for the costume contests.  Mad Scientist Has A Blast will be doing two shows at the Ritz Theater.  The first show will begin at 11:30 on Saturday, and the second will begin at 12:30.

• Downtown Block Party: Shawnee’s Downtown Block pARTy is from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening in conjunction with Boo on Bell. Businesses downtown will be staying open late to participate with art, music, and food.

• Enjoy chili and fun:  The 2017 McLoud Chili Cook Off is set for Saturday Oct. 21. The event will be held on Main Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Awards will be handed out for first, second, third and people's choice. Other events will include wine tasting, live music, kids games, jalapeno eating contest, salsa contest and cornbread baking contest.
