The Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners on Monday approved the purchase of lockers and basketball racks from Oklahoma Correctional Industries for Bethel Schools. Total cost of the lockers is $6,317.36.
Bethel Schools will use funds available to the district from the county's educational sales tax.
The board also opened bids for the parking lot paving project for North Rock Creek Schools. The county has two bids to consider. Connelley Paving of Oklahoma City submitted a base price of $227,400 and A-Tech Paving of Edmond submitted a base price of $322,780.30
The commissioners also approved the vacating of Pottenger Avenue and Chapman
Avenue, between University Avenue and Midland Avenue, and vacating all of University
Avenue from Kickapoo Avenue to Airport Drive.
